Pnv 57 wire5/26/2023 Its focus is fixed at infinity, so everything within about 15 feet is just a blurry mess The high-pitched whine this thing's transformer produces is rather grating and pigeonholes it to be purely for leisure and stargazing as there's no way one can hunt with all that noise The weight of this thing usually comes bearing down on the forehead leading to substantial headaches after about a half-hour of use It can be plugged into a cigarette lighter for use while driving, though depending on how complete yours is, this may require an adapterĬan't see in very dark spaces without substantial IR illumination (it is Gen 1, after all) The cathodes continue to work for about two to three minutes after they lose power, so you have a grace period to get them powered up again should you accidentally disconnect the battery This thing doesn't use much power, so it has pretty good battery life (I've run it for about 8 hours total so far without exchanging the first 9v I used to power it) The transformer works as a fairly decent counterweight The TSh-4M-L it came with does a surprisingly good job of supporting it so this thing will never creep down your face Surprisingly good image intensification for Gen 1 Excellent image quality for the price and for being Gen 1
